Collars and leashes are classic products in the BDSM leather goods world, and they have evolved significantly over time in terms of both materials and design. While their purpose remains similar, they offer vastly different experiences.
In my years in this industry, I have seen many similar designs, and now there are even AI-generated designs. Products are gaining more uniqueness and possibility. Some AI-generated images are truly more impressive than what the human mind can imagine. However, not all AI-produced images follow the rules of physics or are feasible to manufacture.
Perhaps because I’m a woman and an Asian, I’m more drawn to designs with rich colors. Here are a few of the best collar and leash designs I’ve encountered in my career. We can discuss them together. Feel free to leave a comment with your own suggestions, but please respect original work.
Lace Cross Collar
This first design uses colored glitter and white cowhide as a base.

This choker design is full of contradictions: it has sharp studs and chains, showing strength and rebellion, while the iridescent colors and heart pendant add a touch of mystery and softness. It is perfect for those who like to blend Gothic, Punk, and BDSM cultures.
Silver Wings Choker
The center of the choker has two translucent wing pendants with a metallic sheen, resembling angel or dragon wings, adding a fantastical element to the product.
Different types of pendants, including small crosses, keys, and pearls, hang from either side of the collar. These elements combine to create rich layers. In addition, multiple long and short chains hang down, swaying with the wearer’s movement and adding a dynamic beauty.
Among these five designs, this one is my favorite. The design looks intricate and complex but is not messy. The overall sense of layering is very strong. It’s also perfect for everyday wear. Pairing it with a simple strapless dress would make it a stunning highlight.
Butterfly Pendant Choker
What’s special about this choker is that its base is a black collar, but the front is adorned with pink snake-print leather. With the addition of butterfly and chain elements, it combines punk with a touch of sweetness. The silver spike studs on either side of the butterfly emphasize the tough punk style, much like a person’s inner self—tough on the outside, but soft on the inside.
Gemstone Purple Leash Set
This purple color is simply captivating. Purple has always been a color for royalty. When used on this product, it looks both noble and seductive.
The collar features a purple metallic-sheen snake-print leather, creating a mysterious and regal feel. The leash is made of a large, thick metal chain, which appears strong and symbolizes dominance and restraint.
