We can make custom leather belts in many different styles. Depending on the material (genuine leather, vegan leather, or PU) and the client’s needs, we choose different reinforcement to get the desired effect. But one thing always stays the same: our quality of craftsmanship. Even when using cheaper PU, we use the best craftsmanship. We believe that with good craftsmanship and decent materials, no matter the price, we can create great products.
Previous Custom Leather Belts
Tang leather goods’belt since from 1994
Woven belt
This is a classic handcrafted woven belt made from full-grain cowhide. Although it requires considerable labor, the final result is outstanding—both functional and decorative.
Split leather belt
This belt is made from split leather instead of full-grain cowhide, significantly reducing costs while maintaining the belt’s firmness. Paired with an antique brass-like pin buckle, the design is simple yet has its own distinctive charm.
Luxury belt
This belt is made from full-grain leather, featuring contrast stitching. Instead of the usual edge painting, the edges have been polished and waxed. This approach gives the belt a more natural, rustic style. This is a flexible section where you can share anything you want. It could be details or some information about your service 3.
Hand stitch belt
This belt features evenly spaced punched holes with hand stitching as decoration. The hand stitching is the highlight, making a plain-colored belt less ordinary while keeping it easy to match with outfits.
Single-layer leather belt
This belt is made from a 3 mm single-layer vegetable-tanned leather, meaning there is no lining, which requires a certain thickness of the leather. The burgundy color combined with white stitching, along with waxed edge finishing, helps maintain its natural style.
Military belt
This belt is designed for military use, made from high-density, wear-resistant nylon webbing with a thickness of 3 mm in a single layer. This construction maximizes the belt’s flexibility.
PU belt
This belt is made from PU material. Since PU is relatively thin, an elastic lining material is used to provide support, ensuring that it remains flexible and doesn’t crack after repeated use.
Brass buckle belt
This is a very simple belt, featuring only a brass buckle and a 3mm thick single-layer vegetable-tanned leather. The design does not include edge painting; instead, the edges are polished smoothly. This approach focuses the cost entirely on the quality of the materials.
Hand stitch belt
This design is truly unique. The surface is made from horsehair leather, while the underside uses smooth cowhide. What makes it especially remarkable is the addition of numerous embedded gemstones, giving it a highly decorative appearance.

The 3 main Standards for a high-end belt
For high-end belts, good material selection is certainly important, but beyond that, the craftsmanship of the factory is also an importan step.
We can assess belt craftsmanship from several aspects: stitching, edge finishing, belt texture, reinforcement selection, and even details like whether every hole is aligned and consistent in size. An experienced factory knows what type of reinforcementshould be used with the chosen leather to make the belt more durable and prevent cracking or deformation during use. The edge finishing on belts differs from that used on handbags or decorative items because belts are subject to more frequent bending and greater use. If the edge paint lacks flexibility, it can easily peel off during use. These are common issues that most of our clients have faced in the past. If you have more workmanship concerns that need addressing, we are happy to provide solutions.
Perfect in Size
The size deviation must not exceed 1mm, and the distance between holes must also be consistent without any discrepancies.
Soomth edge finishing
The belt edges need to be polished smoothly, and the edge paint should be applied in three thin layers to ensure durability and prevent cracking.
Suitable reinforcement selection
The reinforcement material needs to be chosen based on the leather’s thickness, flexibility, and characteristics. PU, genuine leather, and vegan leather each require different reinforcement to achieve specific design effects.
Something you need to learn about a high-end belt.

Main Material
High-end belts are usually made of genuine leather or microfiber leather. In our production cases, PU material is used less frequently because, while PU is cheaper, belts are load-bearing products that require repeated use, making genuine or microfiber leather a more durable choice. The leather used for belts is quite different from that for handbags in terms of size and thickness. Belt leather can be specially cut by tanneries into rectangular strips rather than full hides, which, while more expensive, significantly reduces material waste. The thickness typically ranges from 0.8mm to 3mm, depending on the belt style and whether it is for men or women.
Reinforcement
The reason some belts crack, wrinkle, or lack flexibility and softness after a short period of use is usually due to improper use of the lining material. It might be because a cheap lining material was used, or the lining wasn’t compatible with the leather. An experienced factory will choose different types of linings based on the leather used to provide the necessary support and achieve the desired effect for the customer.
Belt Buckle
Is a stainless steel belt buckle the best option? Not entirely. While stainless steel offers excellent quality and feel, aluminum alloy buckles are relatively lighter and can be made in a wider range of styles and colors. The choice ultimately depends on the brand’s style and positioning.
