While the unit price may seem similar to genuine leather, the amount of material used differs significantly between the two.

Hardware

Common hardware materials for bags include aluminum alloy, brass, and stainless steel. Bag hardware often uses aluminum alloy due to its reasonable price and corrosion resistance. Some Italian clients prefer stainless steel hardware, which is significantly more expensive—about 3-4 times the cost of aluminum alloy. Additionally, stainless steel hardware often requires custom molds, adding a considerable amount to the cost.

Lining

Lining fabric is one of the less expensive components due to the smaller quantity needed, usually costing between $2.60 and $4.40 per yard, depending on the material. Additionally, if you need custom jacquard or printed logos on the lining, there will be extra costs and minimum order quantity requirements.

Labor costs

Labor costs are the most unpredictable expense, as the time required for sample making and production line work can vary significantly. Therefore, it is generally calculated based on the specific processes involved. Additionally, since each factory has a different scale, the fees they charge also vary accordingly.

Mould cost

The Mold fees typically refer to the cost of hardware molds, such as when adding a logo to hardware or creating a specific hardware design. This requires an additional fee. For example, a 3cm inner diameter D-ring in alloy material may have mold costs ranging from $58.80 to $80.

Pakcing

We provide simple packaging with poly bags and desiccant for free. If you need additional packaging like non-woven bags, gift boxes, or shopping bags, these will require extra fees.
